At rise: A park bench. Two strangers are in an argument:

Mark: Take it easy!  All we're going to do is talk.
Kurt: First you get me into bed. Then you find out my name. Now you want to talk. Who knows where this will lead?!

What in the world is going on here?

Mark and Kurt had anonymous sex several times. Now Mark refuses to have sex again unless Kurt agrees to have a conversation. Although all the MEN ABOUT TOWN plays confront issues of friendship, sex and relationships, First Date focuses on the special struggle gay men have in making a personal connection.
